I have seen plenty of users do it and talk about tons of things with one, and I decided what the hey, I’ll give it a try. A blog obviously will include stuff that I do on a day-to-day basis. I will try to keep my posts as interesting as possible as I have read lots of blogs with simple posts saying what they do every single moment of their lives, it’s like…uh…yeah, so I’ll try to stay away from that. I think I should start by introducing myself. Where to start… I have always liked using computers, and I am interested in many things with using a computer. I tend to chat with friends often with Yahoo Messenger. My email is sigonasr2@yahoo.com by the way. My greatest skills with the computer is programming. I think programming for fun is a great reason to do programming. I have knowledge in BASIC, HTML, Javascript, PHP, Bash (Linux Interpreter), GML (Game Maker Language), and a little bit of Visual Basic and C. I also listen to music on my computer. I usually just like to listen to country music on http://pandora.com. I like to do some Computer Game Creation. I have Game Maker 7.0 and develop games with it. I have also gathered a group of members for the group and we call ourself the “Z-Gamers”. We have a website at http://zgamers.selfip.com. Obviously we haven’t done much yet. I also play some online games for fun. I play a game called BZFlag and a game called Urban Terror. Both are online games and they are both quite fun to me. I have gained quite a reputation on BZFlag including creating maps for the game, creating plugins, and being an admin and cop at several servers. I also have a few servers of my own. A person who goes by “OoO” is now a good friend of mine that I talk to often on Yahoo Messenger. His server is called Unstable and he is more free on letting me use his server as part of my own too. I also have part of another server called Fairserve which is owned by Josh Bodine. (Constitution on BZFlag) He is a moderator of the game and is a developer for the game. I get to talk to him occasionally.
I have gotten interested in Linux myself and have downloaded and installed Ubuntu…11 times to be exact. Now I have a dual-boot running Windows XP and Ubuntu. I did edit the grub file to put them at the top since it’s annoying to always just scroll down that list everytime.
My sister and I tend to pretend we have “animal” students. (Kinda childish if you ask me) and they do “assignments” for a class they are in. Well, I recently set up a local network between our computers so we don’t need to have the hassle of an online service to store our data on. I have to admit Windows XP is easier to set up networking than Ubuntu.
Outside of computers, I tend to play video games, do occasional running, and play some soccer. (I don’t like competitive though) I currently am having some trouble with my grades in school, so I am working very hard to get those up. Anyways, this is my first post to my blog and hopefully I have told anyone interested in getting to know me, a little bit more of myself.
Our school is holding a big spirit competition and our class is prepared to beat every other 5th period class that will try it. We’ve got literally everything coming along. I’ll tell you about it after it actually happens.
